The guide all My Little Pony fans were waiting for, with big pictures of all ponies, playsets and accessories of all the ponies that were issued in the U.S. during the 80's and 90's. This inventory made by Summer Hayes offers an insight into Hasbro's first generation of My Little Pony and is ideal for :
- collectors who are looking to put a value on their collection, want to find an easy way to identify ponies and a complete list of their accessories;
- eBay sellers wanting to sell at a correct price;
- fans who are longing to be taken back to their childhood and their beloved toys they used to play with.
The ponies were grouped based on the year in which they appeared and the family they belong to. With each item there's a checkbox which can be marked when you have this item in your collection, including the accessories such as ribbons, brushes, etc. There's also some merchandise published in this book, but it's rather limited.
The book dates from 2008, hence the outdated values; on top of that the values are based on the American market. Most of the ponies and playsets that are traded in Europe often go twice or even more the value.
Personally I find this the best guide brought out so far; I have already used it a lot and bought it for a really nice price at Bol.com.
